Definition: An irrational fear of something. Fact: when you’ve got one, it doesn’t feel irrational, it just feels scary to the point of being a life changer.

What are you afraid of?Phobias can vary from the common simple ones that we are aware of such as fear of heights, ladders, wasps etc. to more complex fears such as losing control or crashing. Even Social phobias can affect us, sometimes more significantly than other common phobias. After all, being scared of snakes just means that I don’t do the reptile house when we next visit the zoo or avoid holidays in the Outback. Being social phobic may mean that I become more and more isolated just because I’m scared of meeting new people and knowing what to say at parties or even that I miss out on big events such as weddings, graduations or even attending family get-togethers.

phobias, claustrophobia, arachnophobia, emetophobia, aviophobiaIf you feel like you’re missing out on life, Hypnotherapy can help by looking at the reasons why you started to be scared in the first place. Even if there isn’t an obvious cause such as finding a spider when you weren’t expecting it or being stung by a wasp, I can explore the hidden reasons and help you to deal with them so that they no longer bother you.

You can stop phobias getting in the way of enjoying your life here at my practice in Lower Earley, Reading. Just give me a call and find out how easy it can be.
